Mountain biking
How about heading into the mountains on a mountain bike for a change, going wild on those pedals. For those who have never done this before, it is quite an experience. Initially, you have to cycle up a mountain, after which you are probably already quite tired. Once you arrive at the top, the real work begins.
Full speed down, 100% concentration required as the smallest steering error can have fatal consequences. If you don't want to go straight down the mountain, you can also cycle down via the normal road. However, this is also a tough challenge.
What should you pay attention to when mountain biking? Before you go into the mountains, make sure your equipment is in order.
Requirements to go into the mountains by mountain bike
Bike
Which bike you are going to take is very important. Are you going for good equipment or will you settle for a bit less. If you are going for the first time then I think it would be wise to hire a bike instead of buying one straight away. When choosing a bike, you should pay attention to the suspension. There are mountain bikes without suspension. These are lighter but you get the idea, with all those rocks and holes, it is not very comfortable. You can opt for a bike with a hard suspension. A hard suspension is useful in stiff landscapes. Last you have the mountain bikes with complete front and rear suspension. These bikes are quite expensive but are very comfortable.
Helmet
Riding in the mountains has a certain amount of risk. Especially if you decide to go down-hill, you usually encounter mostly rocky paths. Therefore, a fall cannot be ruled out. You really need a helmet. I know stories of people who couldn't make the turn while going downhill and so went straight out of the turn. These people are glad they wore a helmet. In doing so, make sure you take a helmet that is exactly the right size.
Gloves
Going into the mountains on your mountain bike for the first time, you don't know exactly what to expect. Accidents, again, can easily happen, so wear gloves. Better still, even if you are an advanced rider, always wear gloves.
Bicycle pump and tyre repair kit
Perhaps very logical but I still want to mention it. You really can't hit the road without a pump and a repair kit.
